Breaking free!

These are pictures of the three of us...out to eat at a restaurant! The doctors let us take Dan out for the night. He did so well in his wheelchair, out of the hospital for several hours - they let us go out again the next night! Two nights in a row, as a family, back in the outside world, has made this the best weekend ever.

  5. I love how you can see the world and things in a different light and how much a simple meal with family can be one of the biggest blessing of the week. That is truely awesome.

  6. Luke, how right you are!
Dan!--YEAH!!!! Did you do that, "order the most expensive thing on the menu" trick? You DO have license to do that you know! Your progress amazes me. I'm so proud of you, and I don't even know you! You just keep on stunning the ones you love - Mind over matter... you sure have that one in the bag! Push forward man :0)

  10. I've been following along, but haven't commented. I found Dan's story through the guys at Forged Clothing. As I type this I am sitting in my wife's ICU room after skull-based surgery to remove her 3rd occurance of a rare cancer. Heather is 32. Dan and you guys are in my thoughts and prayers daily. Heather and I were honored to contribue and to send positive healing energy your way. While their, and our, challenges are differnt, please know that your strenght and Dan's strenght have helped me in this difficult time. Cheers!

  12. You said "forged clothing" so probably some SEALS pointed you this direction (which is why I"m thinking maybe you are local to me)? Anyway, if you are here in San Diego and you need anything I'm in Coronado and I'm happy to help. Even if it's just cleaning your house or helping out with a meal. Let me know, don't be shy. Seriously. I will keep you and your wife in my prayers.

  13. Hi, I'm Andy Arrabito's sister. We were so saddened when we heard about your accident. When a seal is hit, our family is hit. God bless you, and may you heal quickly and your life be full and overflowing!
