Figgen AWESOME! You guys rock! What a ride huh? All of it! But, like every aspect of this entire situation you all have been beacons of hope and strength and kick-assness (I may coin that word).
Dan, Leslie and Alice, The three of you have been an amazing source of inspiration and strength for me. I've followed this chapter in Dan's life since he arrived back in the States, and I continue to look forward to hearing your updates as to how he's doing and what he's been up to. Never a dull moment around there huh! I'm so happy that his recovery has had such a positive outcome.
Thank you Dan for, well, just being who you are. We (my family) will forever be indebted to you for your service and sacrifice. Thank you Leslie for being such a caring and supportive sister. I know having you there has made an enormous difference to Dan and his healing process. And to Alice, I am in awe of your beautiful family!
Leslie, someone has to say it... You and your Mom have been absolutely incredible throughout... To see your smile and feel your spirit, I mean no wonder Dan has made such incredible strides... I'd love to be around to see what you do in life, after the way you've handled this, there is nothing you won't breeze through ... Whatever you choose, may you achieve all the success and happiness you deserve... God Bless the Cnossens!
Yes you can, I love that small simple statement and how you have shown that pulling yourself up and continuing to press forward is what matters. If you guys don't stop I wont be able to be surprised anymore... ha ha. "Hey do you hear that Dan ran 5miles?" My response would be, Well, it Dan what did you expect? He has one of the best support teams around.
